Thatchers Cider is pleased to announce it has been short-listed in two categories for the Bristol Evening Post Business Awards 2008.
The Somerset-based cider maker is a finalist in the Family Business category, and the Business With a Turnover of Over £5million category.
A judging panel of independent experts is now considering the finalists entries, and the winners will be announced at an awards dinner on May 15th. Led by Bristol News and Media’s managing director Steve Anderson-Dixon, the judging panel look at all aspects of the short-listed companies including financial performance, product range and sales/marketing.
Martin Thatcher says,
“The revitalisation of the cider industry over the last couple of years has been a huge talking point in the drinks sector and we are delighted to have been a part of this. We have been leading from the front particularly when it comes to producing top quality, interesting ciders that people want to buy. The growth that the company has experienced thanks to innovative product development and increased sales is a credit to everyone who works for Thatchers across every department, from the growing of the apples through to sales.
“To be nominated for these awards is recognition of the commitment and enthusiasm that everyone shows in the production and marketing of our ciders."
