Coming out of sixth form and going out into the world of work felt quite daunting. But Thatchers really helped with the transition and brought out the best in me.
At the start of your career companies know you won’t have much work experience but Thatchers seem to be really interested in life experience.
The opportunities I’ve had have been great, I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for joining the scheme.
I knew that University wasn’t for me, as I wanted to start working to earn money and gain on the job skills.
Don’t think too much about the qualification when looking for an apprenticeship. Look more into the company you want to be a part of and the job itself.
