The Lineup

Little Comets

Hot on the heels of their fourth album Worhead, Little Comets are no strangers to the indie scene, with an impressive back catalogue of EPs and albums that have charted in the UK since their formation in 2008. Famed for their impromptu gigs in unorthodox venues (including a Marks & Spencer bakery aisle!) Little Comets’ blend of tricky percussive rhythms and Afro-beat-tinged guitars has seen them labelled as the ‘British Vampire Weekend’.

Elder Island

Get to know the name Elder Island because this Bristol-based trio is destined for the big time. Their newly released album Seeds In Sand – mixed by Sam Wheat and Liam Nolan who produced chart toppers for Rihanna, Amy Winehouse, Adele and Ellie Goulding — serves up sizzling synths and angelic, otherworldly vocals. With support from musical powerhouses Huw Stephens, Tom Robinson and Gilles Peterson and widespread critical acclaim, their infectious sound is about to go global.

Eva Lazarus & The Afronauts

Eva Lazarus has been making waves on the Bristol scene for a few years now, both as the front woman for Dub Mafia and with her own crew — backing vocalists The Afronauts and DJ Snareophobe. As a singer, songwriter and MC, Eva is all about the big Afro, big voice, big beats and big bass. Collaborating with the likes of Stanton Warriors and Dub FX, and gaining support from Radio 1 and Rinse FM, the recent release of her debut EP marks the start of big things for Eva.

Harry & The Gondolas

Hailing from Somerset, Harry & The Gondolas are a three-piece nu-folk ensemble whose raw, foot-stomping tunes are infused with dynamic harmonies and bubbly basslines. They’ve risen in the UK folk music scene, producing two standout EPs and recently embarking on tours in Europe and Australia. With influences such as Mumford & Sons, Bear’s Den and Ben Howard, it is clear why Harry & The Gondolas are the perfect accompaniment to go with that cold cider you’re craving.

The Thatchers Haze Sessions

On Saturday 6th May, we hosted another night of live performances from some of the UK’s most exciting up-and-coming artists.

Supporting our cloudy cider, Thatchers Haze, guests were treated to an evening of expertly crafted music by an expertly crafted cider.

The line-up was been hand picked – with the help of BoomTown’s head of music, Kaptin Barrett – to showcase live acts currently making waves.

Little Comets, Elder Island, Eva Lazarus and The Afronauts and Harry and The Gondolas.
