Gearing Up For Glastonbury

As the Official Cider of Glastonbury Festival, Thatchers Cider is gearing up to make its debut at the legendary Somerset event.

As well as Thatchers Gold being available in all of the Festival’s bars on the 1200 acre site, the Somerset cider maker will also have its specially created Craft Cider Bar in the Williams Green area of Worthy Farm. Thatchers Traditional, Heritage and Cheddar Valley ciders will be available in the Craft Bar.

135,000 ticket-holders are due to attend the Glastonbury Festival, which takes place this week (25 – 29 June). The event will also attract a television audience in the millions.

Martin Thatcher, Managing Director of Thatchers Cider says, “We’ve been preparing for this for some months now – we hope that Festival goers love our ciders as much as we are going to love being at the Festival for the first time and making thousands of new friends.

“Our Craft Cider Bar will give us the opportunity to introduce many Festival goers to the very best genuine Somerset cider.

“Our partnership with Glastonbury is giving us the opportunity to bring two Somerset farming families together to offer something very special.”

In line with Glastonbury Festival ethos, Thatchers will be serving its cider in biodegradable Glastonbury Festival cups.
