Join our Cider Makers for a Virtual Cider Tasting in our Orchards
Celebrating South West Cider Week
Join our cider makers in an orchard cider tasting as we celebrate South West Cider Week (12th to 21st June 2020) virtually. At 12.30 on Friday 12th June our cider makers Richard Johnson and Sophie Jennings will be guiding us through a selection of Thatchers Ciders with a backdrop of the beautiful apple orchards at Myrtle Farm.
South West Cider Week is being organised by the South West of England Cidermakers Association, and this year is comprising a series of virtual events running from Friday 12th June through to 21st June.
From Thatchers Gold through to our new Cloudy Lemon, from Thatchers Katy to the deliciously pink Thatchers Rosé, join us to discover more about the delights of Somerset cider for this special 12.30 tasting. You’ll find out the techniques for expertly tasting cider, and the different apples varieties that help give each cider its distinctive characteristics.
Richard Johnson, Thatchers head cider maker says, “This is a fantastic way to celebrate the diversity of cider that is made here in the South West, the home of cider. At Thatchers we’re inviting people into our orchards through a film we’ve made specially, where we guide you through a selection of our most popular ciders.”
Join the tasting at 12.30 Friday 12th June here:
