Juicy Apple Ad Wins Campaign of the Year

We’re thrilled that our latest Juicy Apple advert, created in partnership with the multi–Academy Award® winning Aardman, has been named Cider Campaign of the Year by The Grocer. This marks the third year in a row that our campaigns have received this recognition from the UK’s leading food and drink industry publication.

This year, we returned to the studio with Aardman to bring our vibrant Juicy Apple advert to life. First airing over the May Bank Holiday weekend 2025, the advert transports viewers to our home at Myrtle Farm in Somerset—this time through the bright and colourful lens of Thatchers Juicy Apple.

Building on the success of our previous collaborations with Aardman, the new advert tells the story of how our deliciously mouth-watering cider is made using sun-drenched apples and 100% renewable electricity, including power from the 3,500 solar panels on the roof of our mill.

The campaign which airs on Broadcast Video on Demand TV, Netflix, Prime, and YouTube, uses Aardman’s award-winning animation skills to showcase a fresh side of Myrtle Farm.

Director Dan Binns explained, “We took inspiration from Thatchers’ Juicy Apple brand to create a world as if viewed through the lens of the mouth-wateringly crisp cider. We took the Juicy Apple cider colour palette and flat-graphic look and feel to visualise a sun-soaked world where the pints are always perfect.” The animation blends traditional hand-crafted 2D techniques with 3D assets and After Effects, creating a crisp and vibrant experience that reflects the seamless link between our sun-powered processing, sun-drenched apples, and the juiciest, tastiest cider. As in the real world, everything is connected to nature, from orchard to mill.
