Katy wins Gold in Spanish Sagardo Forum!

Thatchers Katy has been awarded a prestigious Gold Medal in Spain’s most acclaimed international cider tasting competition.

The Sagardo Forum is held in San Sebastian, one of Spain’s top cider producing regions, with the competition attracting hundreds of entries from around the world.

Katy received a Gold medal in the modern cider category, and Thatchers Vintage received a Bronze in the Traditional English Cider category.

David King, our Export Sales Manager was delighted with the results. “After the UK, Spain is one of the most highly respected cidermaking nations. So to be awarded these medals by some very experienced judges is a brilliant achievement.”

Light, crisp and refreshing Thatchers Katy is a single variety cider made from sweet and fruity Katy apples here at Myrtle Farm. At 7.4% Katy has a subtle sweetness, a refreshing sparkle and crisp tangy finish. With hints of strawberry, Katy has a long smooth flavour.

For a special occasion, serve Katy in a champagne flute and top with a strawberry!
