REFRESHING THATCHERS AT TUNES IN THE DUNES Refreshing Thatchers at Tunes in the Dunes

It’s not long before we take to the beach for the first in the series of Tunes festivals, Tunes in the Dunes, that Thatchers is supporting for the first time.

Tunes in the Dunes 2019 is Cornwall’s only festival on the beach, that takes place at Perranporth from 24 – 26 May. We’ll be taking the Thatchers refreshment to festival goers, with our brands Thatchers Gold and Haze available at all the bars at the festival.

Headlining this year on the Main Stage at Tunes in the Dunes are John Newman, Circa Waves, Newton Faulkner, Madness, Plain White T’s, Bananarama, Morcheeba and Gabrielle.
As well as Tunes in the Dunes, we will be serving our ciders at the two further events in the Tunes series, Tunes in the Castle at Powderham Castle, Exeter, and Tunes on the Sands, at Blackpool Sands, in Devon.

The Tunes Festivals have strong environmental ethics, fully supported by Thatchers own ethos of sustainability. The festivals are all single-use plastic free and all ciders served from the bars will be in the festival’s own plant starch cups.

Emma Pyle, events coordinator at Thatchers says, “We totally support the single-use plastic free commitment by Tunes Festivals. As a cidermaker we’ve already eliminated plastic ring carriers from our four-packs of cans, replacing them with recyclable cardboard carry packs; it’s a step we took eighteen months ago and is part of a series of environmental initiatives we’re working on at our cider mill here at Myrtle Farm.”

Following Tunes in the Dunes, is Tunes on the Sands 2019. Five miles from Dartmouth, with a back drop of scenic forests and hills, this special festival will take place on one of Devon’s most loved beaches on 12th – 14th July. Artists include KT Tunstall, Wet Wet Wet, Hoosiers, UB40, Natty and The Proclaimers.

The trio of events concludes with Tunes in the Castle, at Powderham Castle near Exeter from 3rd to 4th August, a new and unique festival featuring major acts, medieval jousting, and plenty of medieval madness.  On stage are Joss Stone, Frank Turner, Pixie Lott, Hayseed Dixie, Sugar Hill Gang, and Scouting for Girls.
