As we turn our thoughts to taking it easy on long, hot, summer days with a chilled cider and some outdoor eats,  Thatchers Cider has introduced its new premium cloudy cider in 440ml cans.

Somerset Haze is a totally new style of apple cider.  Crisp, with a sweet finish and naturally hazy appearance, Somerset Haze appeals to lovers of apple cider, as well as those young adults who prefer a sweeter style, lower strength cider (4.5%).

Crafted from apples varieties including Discovery, Falstaff, Gala and Jonagold, Somerset Haze is a truly laid-back cider, perfect for summer drinking. It’s great with food too, and chef Tim Maddams has created new outdoor eats recipes – Pulled Chicken Burger with Hazy Ketchup, and BBQ Bacon Chop with Beetroot Slaw.

It is the juice of the Jonagold apple that brings a natural haze appearance to this cider. To waken the Haze, gently roll the can or bottle before opening.

“Somerset Haze gives those drinkers who are looking for an easy drinking, cloudy cider the opportunity to experience the premium taste of Thatchers,” explains Martin Thatcher, fourth generation cidermaker at Myrtle Farm.  “Haze has the heritage of four generations of cider making behind it and we believe it will fill the gap for an authentic, sweeter, lower abv premium cloudy cider.”
