Thatchers Bar and Restaurant unveiled ahead of the Royal Bath and West Show

There’ll be more opportunities than ever before to enjoy a pint of Thatchers at this year’s Royal Bath and West Show – not least in the newly named Thatchers Bar and Restaurant that has just been unveiled within the showground’s Wessex Pavilion.

The new bar and restaurant includes an outside terrace for visitors – adorned with a stunning visual of Thatchers’ Somerset orchards – overlooking the showground.

The Thatchers Bar and Restaurant in the Wessex Pavilion, operated by Hayes Catering was officially opened by Michael Eavis this week, and is located adjacent to the showground’s main Showering Pavilion.

During the Royal Bath and West Show this year, which runs from 29th May to 1st June, the popular Thatchers and Butcombe Bar is once again located on Avenue B opposite the main ring in the Sparkford Building and for the first time we’ll be selling gift packs of our bottled ciders. Sit back and soak up the atmosphere with entertainment from Mendip Morris and The Polden Ridge Mountain Boys. Alongside the bar will be a sampling area where you can try out Thatchers award-winning Cider Barn range – short run special ciders that showcase different apple varieties and our cidermaking expertise.

And for the first time, our VAT 12 Land Rover Truck will be serving in the Food and Drink area, where we will be serving our family favourites, Thatchers Gold, Haze and Rosé.

Watch out also for the Thatchers Hot Air balloon, which, weather permitting, will be taking off from the main showground arena on Wednesday 29th May.

Emma Pyle, Thatchers Events Coordinator, says, “The Royal Bath and West is always a brilliant showcase for Somerset. It’s full of so many exciting activities, and there’s something for everyone. We’re really looking forward to joining our friends at the Show once again this year as Headline Sponsor, and being the cider of choice at this ever popular event.”
