Thatchers eliminates plastic ring carriers

We have been working hard to reduce our use of plastic packaging, and over the last twelve months we have developed and introduced recyclable cardboard packs for our cans of four ciders – Thatchers Gold and Thatchers Haze. The ciders are all canned and packaged at Thatchers family-run mill at Myrtle Farm.

That means that Thatchers no longer uses plastic ring carriers on its packs of ciders – a big step towards reducing our use of plastic.

Martin Thatcher, managing director says, “This is a major step forward for us and we’re very pleased to say that we no longer have any plastic ring carriers on our packs of cider. We’re determined to be doing things the right way for the environment, and although we know there’s more to do, we are well on our way down this road of reducing our use of plastic.”
