Thatchers heading to the valley for Valley Fest

Thatchers Cider will be heading to the Valley this August to bring its great tasting cider to Valley Fest for the first time.

Valley Fest, the best tasting music festival in the South West, has three amazing headliners confirmed – Razorlight, Tom Odell and Basement Jaxx . Now in its fifth year, Valley Fest is a real showcase for superb food, drink and music. Held on a beautiful organic farm overlooking the stunning Chew Valley Lake in Somerset, it takes place between 2nd and 4th August. It’s the perfect weekend for fans of great music, great food – and great cider.

So Thatchers will be taking its range of locally produced Somerset ciders to Valley Fest. Thatchers Gold, with its fruitiness bursting from the glass, Thatchers Haze, naturally refreshing and full crisp eating apples and Thatchers Rosé, a sweet treat full of zing – will all be there at the Festival’s bars. And if you’re not sure which cider is for you, come along to the VAT 12 cider truck in the Village Green area for a spot of sampling, and a bit of fun!

Martin Thatcher, fourth generation cidermaker whose family farm is just ten miles away from the Valley Fest farm, says,

“We’re going to feel right at home at Valley Fest. For starters, it takes place just down the road from Myrtle Farm. And importantly the Festival is all about great food and drink, that we’re all passionate about.

“We’re delighted to have been asked to join the Valley Fest family this year, we’re really excited about being there, and are looking forward to making lots of new friends during what’s going to be an amazing weekend. It’s a weekend to relax and soak up the atmosphere in the Chew Valley.”

Valley Fest is one of a fantastic line up of new events that Thatchers is a part of for 2019, that will see its ciders sold not just in the West Country, but throughout the UK at some of this year’s most exciting events. These include the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, The Mitsubishi Badminton Horse Trials, The Foodies Festivals, Bristol Harbour Festival, Camp Bestival, BBC Countryfile Live, and Bristol International Balloon Fiesta.
