Win a Rugby Weekend With A Rugby Legend

1. These Terms and Conditions prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials. Entry instructions are deemed to form part of the Terms and Conditions and by participating, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the Terms and Conditions. Please retain a copy for your information.

2. Promoter: Thatchers Cider Company Limited, Myrtle Farm, Station Road, Sandford, Winscombe, Avon, BS25 5RA

3. Promotion is only open to legal residents of the UK aged 18 or over, excluding employees of the Promoter, Thatchers Cider, (their families, agents,), or anyone else professionally connected with this Promotion.

4. Opening date for the main promotion period is 09:00 01/12/2025 and closing date is 17:00 30/04/2026.

5. Internet access is required. Mobile number and email address required for entry.

6. Purchase required: Please retain your till receipt showing qualifying purchase for winner verification if purchased in off licence retailer. Please retain QR slip received in Pub or on licence premises where purchase was made for winner verification.

7. To Participate:

a. Retail (Supermarkets & Off Licence Premises):
Purchase a promotional 10-pack of Thatchers Gold 440ml cans from selected retailers, scan the QR code printed on the inside of the pack during the relevant promotion period to access the promotional microsite and enter the applicable prize draw(s) by completing and submitting the requested details in the online entry form.

b. Pubs & On Licenced Premises:
Buy a pint or bottle of Thatchers Gold from selected on trade (pubs etc) venues, scan QR code on the entry slip received after purchase, then visit online microsite during the applicable promotion period, enter the prize draw by submitting your details as requested.

c. Entries received during the main promotional period will be automatically entered into the grand prize draw to win the Rugby Weekend with a Rugby Legend plus qualifying entries will also be entered into the weekly draw to win one of 10 prizes of a case ((24 x 440ml cans) of Thatchers Gold.

b. The draw date for the Rugby Weekend with a Rugby Legend is Monday 4th May 2026
c. The weekly draws to win one of 10 cases of Thatchers Gold will take place on the following dates:

8. The Rugby Weekend with a Rugby Legend Prize details are as follows:

A rugby weekend* to be taking in 2026 comprising of the following (each part of which is subject to the Promoter’s discretion):
• 2 tickets to a rugby match at Allianz’ Stadium, Twickenham (excl. England rugby games), The Recreation Ground, Bath or Ashton Gate Stadium, Bristol, Mattioli Woods Welford Road stadium, Leicester.
• The rugby match will also be attended by a ‘rugby legend’ – being an ex-player premiership level or above. Such attendance subject to the Promoter’s discretion and the rugby player’s availability.
• 2 nights accommodation (maximum value of £160 per night)**
• Travel to the stadium (capped at £100 pp)**
• £200 spending money ***
• 2 evening meals (max £120 per meal for 2)****
*Please note that the rugby match, accommodation and travel is subject to the Promoter’s discretion and will be booked by the Thatchers Cider team. When the Main Prize is won and claimed, then Thatchers will liaise with you regarding the proposed match, travel and accommodation and will book accordingly.
** Accommodation/ Travel expenses – Thatchers will notify the winner of the available options/dates.
*** Spending money will be transferred directly to a UK bank account only.
**** This will be provided in the form of restaurant/meal voucher (s) to be used on the applicable date(s) at an applicable participating restaurant notified to the winner by Thatchers, such restaurant must stock Thatchers Gold.

Prizes are subject to availability and there are no cash alternatives to any part of the prize.

8. There are 10 Weekly Prizes of a case ((24 x 440ml cans) of Thatchers Gold.
And there 10 Monthly Prizes of a case (24 x 440ml cans) of Thatchers Gold.

9. Maximum 1 entry per person per day, providing each entry is completed as stated in Clause 7. Each entry will be entered into the relevant draw during the main or secondary promotional period.

10. Weekly draw winners will be drawn at random via computer process from received entries at the date each draw is made. Winners will be required to provide home address, email and telephone contact details. Winners of any prize will also be required to provide proof of identity (passport, driving licence or equivalent) prior to receiving their prize.

11. Only one prize can be won per person during the entire promotional period.

12. Winners will be notified by email via the email address provided on entry within 3 working days of the draw date and will have 14 days from initial contact to confirm delivery address details in order to claim their prize. In the case that a winner does not respond in time, rejects their prize or is ineligible, another winner will be selected using the same methodology as above. The process will repeat twice for each prize after which any remaining prizes will be null and void. Entrants are encouraged to monitor their email account during this time in case they are a winner, including junk folders Prizes will be dispatched via post within 28 days of notification and verification.

13. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse to award a prize or withdraw prize entitlement and/or refuse further participation in the promotion and disqualify the participant where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these Terms and Conditions, the spirit of the promotion, any instructions forming part of this promotion’s entry requirements or otherwise where a participant has gained unfair advantage in participating or won using fraudulent means.

14. All entries must be made by the entrant themselves. Bulk entries made from trade, consumer groups or third parties will not be accepted. If it becomes apparent that a participant is using a computer(s) to circumvent this or any other condition by, for example, the use of ‘script’, ‘brute force’ or any other automated means, that person’s entries will be disqualified and any prize award will be void.

15. The Promoter shall comply with all applicable requirements of the Data Protection Act 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation 2016 and any successor legislation or other applicable law. The personal information entrants provide will be used by the Promoter for the purpose of conducting this promotion and in accordance with the Promoters’ Data Privacy Notice which can be found here: Privacy Policy. The Promoter may disclose entrants’ personal information to its contractors and agents to assist in conducting this Promotion (including any relevant promotional activity) or communicating with entrants.

16. The Promoter has no control over internet networks and is not liable for any problems associated with them due to traffic congestion, technical malfunction or otherwise. The Promoter will not be held liable to any individual for any fraud committed by any third party nor for any event beyond its control including, but not limited to, user error and any network, computer, hardware or software failures of any kind which may restrict, delay or prevent a participant’s entry to the promotion. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt.

17. The Promoter will make available a list of winners’ surnames and counties of residence to members of the public or regulators who request such details within 3 months of the closing date of this promotion. Entrants can object to disclosure, or request that disclosure be limited in scope by contacting info@thatcherscider.co.uk We may nevertheless disclose the information to the Advertising Standards Authority if required to do so. You may request a copy of the winners list by emailing info@thatcherscider.co.uk. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse such requests

18. You agree that Thatchers may, but is not required to, make your entry available on its website www.thatcherscider.co.uk and any other media, whether now known or invented in the future, and in connection with any publicity of the prize draw. You agree to grant Thatchers a nonexclusive, worldwide, irrevocable licence, for the full period of any intellectual property rights in the prize draw entry and any accompanying materials, to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-licence the prize draw entry and any accompanying materials for such purposes.

19. The Promoter’s decision is binding in all matters relating to this Promotion, and no correspondence shall be entered into.

20. If any provisions of these Terms and Conditions are judged to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, this shall not affect or impact the continuation in full force and effect of the remainder of the provisions.

21. The Terms and Conditions of this Promotion shall be interpreted and applied on the basis of English Law and the Courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

22. Insofar as is permitted by law, Thatchers, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of Thatchers, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
