Flat Cider
Possible cause
- Gas cylinder empty/gas not on
- Cellar temperature too low
- Cellar template too high
- Dirty glasses
- Too much rinse aid in glass-wash
Solution
- Check gas is on and check cylinder contains gas
- Change gas cylinder if necessary
- Ensure 12-14°C
- Ensure 12-14°C
- Check glass cleaning procedures
- Inspect glass-washer operation and adjust

No Dispense
Possible cause
- Empty barrel
- Cellarbuoy not filled with cider and ball not floating
- Gas cylinder empty
- Kink in pipe
Solution
- Change barrel
- Fill cellarbuoy with cider and release ball
- Change cylinder
- Straighten out kink

Slow Dispense
Possible cause
- Dirty lines
- Empty gas cylinder
- Gas not turned on at cylinder and secondary reducing valve
Solution
- Clean lines
- Change cylinder
- Turn gas on

Fobbing Cider
Possible cause
- Low gas pressure
- Cellar temperature too low
- Cellar temperature too high
- Yeast in lines
- High carbonation
- Excess pressure
Solution
- Change cylinder
- Ensure 12-14°C
- Ensure 12-14°C
- Clean lines
- Switch off the gas at the end of each session
- Traditional ciders only: vent container

Hazy ‘Bright’ Cider
Possible cause
- Lines have not been cleaned in the last 7 days
- Infected cider
- Out of date cider
Solution
- Clean lines, if this does not work: flush through lines with water and try new keg
- Change barrel
- Check dates
- Apply a system for stock rotation

- Try using another keg, if this works then go back to the original keg
