Our shop is open!

We’re delighted that our Cider Shop is once again open.

When you visit, you’ll notice some measures we’ve introduced for everyone’s well-being:

  • To allow for social distancing, there is now a one-way system in the shop
  • We have marked out 2 metre spacing inside, as well as outside for those waiting to come in. Please respect these areas while shopping and waiting at the till.
  • As you enter, hand sanitiser is provided for your use, and there’s a heat sensor for checking your temperature.
  • We’re now only able to accept credit/debit cards.

Please see below for this week’s opening hours.

Thank you for all your support while we’ve been closed, and we’re looking forward to seeing everyone again for our full range of Thatchers Ciders, as well as gifts and other local produce.

The Cider Shop’s Opening Hours:

Monday to Saturday – 10am to 4pm
Sunday & Bank Holidays – Closed

Thatchers Cider Shop

Pop down to the farm and a warm welcome awaits you at our very special Cider Shop, where you can pick up some of our lovely cider and local produce – simply scrumptious!

Our Cider Shop right at the heart of Myrtle Farm.

Our Cider Shop right at the heart of Myrtle Farm has come a long way from the no-frills row of cider barrels of days gone-by. Now its rustic shelves are brimming with every single one of the ciders from our range. When our cidermakers produce their limited edition Special Vintage ciders, you’ll find them in pride of place. And if you’d like a gift for a special occasion, choose from our range of baskets and gift boxes.

Traditional ciders in their barrels.

Of course, the Cider Shop wouldn’t be the same without our traditional ciders in their barrels. Try before you buy straight from the tap.

And we don’t just sell cider! We’ve delicious locally produced cheeses and chutneys, as well as books, gifts such as traditional cider mugs, key rings and glasses, and our latest Thatchers t-shirts and clothing.

Once the old dovecote, it was Stan Thatcher who first opened the cider shop at Myrtle Farm, although at this time it was more of a talking shop for the local farmers.
