It was a sensational return this year to the Badminton Horse Trials for Thatchers Cider. With a sell-out crowd, sunshine and cider, we were delighted to be back at Badminton for the first time in two years.

Philip McTeer, our head of marketing, says, “What a brilliant return! Everyone was so positive and excited to be back at this amazing event. We’re so pleased to be a part of it and share everyone’s excitement at being at this world class occasion.”

We took our sampling truck – a converted Land Rover – along to Badminton. From there, we were offering samples of our newly released cider, Blood Orange, to visitors. And it went down well!

Philip continues, “Our new Blood Orange became an instant festival favourite as it made its debut with event goers. As well as sampling from our cider truck, our bar at the Thatchers Tack Room was serving Blood Orange alongside our other favourite Somerset ciders. The Thatchers Tack Room is set within the iconic Badminton Lakeside with one of the best views of the Cross Country – what’s not to like!”

The Badminton Horse Trials was the first in a full calendar of events for us this summer that will see us taking our bespoke Thatchers tasting trucks up and down the country. Over 25 festivals and events and sporting occasions are being attended, including Camp Bestival, Goldcoast, The Eden Sessions, Tunes in the Dunes, ValleyFest, Bristol Sounds and Barcode Festival.

As well as serving our range of ciders to festival goers and sports fans, we will be sampling our new Blood Orange Cider at the events, driving trial with over 500,000 samples.
