Our award-winning apprenticeship scheme will be opening for new applications in February 2024. But what is an apprenticeship, and why choose one?
For parents wanting to find out more, and help their young people in making informed choices about their future careers, Thatchers Cider will be holding an information evening – especially for parents, carers and guardians – on Monday 4th December between 6pm and 8pm.
The evening will be held at The Railway Inn, Sandford, and will be a perfect opportunity to find out more about the Thatchers Talent Programme, and the opportunities it holds for young people considering their next step after school or college.
Steve Penfold, Thatchers Head of Talent Development says,
“Apprenticeships are a fantastic opportunity for young people. Our aim for the evening is to help parents, guardians and carers to understand and navigate what an apprenticeship is all about, how you can support your son or daughter, as well as offering tips on the recruitment processes.
“We will be joined by the fantastic Western Training Providers Network, who provides a wealth of apprentice support to students and parents, along with two of our training providers who can help you navigate apprenticeship opportunities and answer any questions you may have.”
Young people currently working as apprentices at Thatchers will be taking part in a live apprentice panel, giving visitors the opportunity to hear their stories and experiences as apprentices at first hand.
So why not join us for a mulled cider and mince pie, at our informal Parents Apprentice Information Evening, at The Railway Inn on Monday 4th December, 6pm-8pm.
