A fun day out at our Open Day

Our Thatchers Cider Open Day takes place on Saturday 16th September 2017.

This is a free event with activities for the whole family. It’s an opportunity for you to talk to our cidermakers, taste our ciders, and have a great day out! For the younger generation there’ll be apple pressing, face painting and lots of other fun activities. There’ll be a range of stalls and stands, from wildlife and conservation to craft.

There’ll be music from bands The Floorshiners, Mint Juleps and the Folk Trio. Stalls and stands include Winscombe AFC/Rugby; Winscombe Badminton; Somerset Wildlife and the Bumblebee Conservation Trust; as well as the Wrington Apple Group, and cider sampling. And lot’s more.

We’ll be running a number of different tours: around the orchards, walking through our bottling and new canning lines, as well as getting close to our 150-year-old oak vats. Visitors will hear from our cidermakers about how we make our ciders, and why our apples are so important.

There will be plenty of free parking on arrival at Myrtle Farm – please follow the marshals’ directions.

We look forward to seeing you then!
