Our Family Open Day is making a welcome return and is set to take place on Saturday September 17^th2022.

With a welcoming atmosphere for all, this is a fun, family day that has activities and entertainment for all ages.

We’re delighted to announce the new Thatchers Music Stage, which will host a line-up of amazing local bands.

The Family Open Day will start at midday and will run through to 5pm. The Thatchers Music Stage, which will be situated in the cider garden of The Railway Inn, will continue to 8pm. Keep an eye out on our social channels for the full line-up announcement.

The Railway Inn will be serving delicious food throughout the day, and there will be refreshments and food stalls at Myrtle Farm too.

There’ll be over 25 local craft and product stalls; visitors can have a go at pressing apples by hand, and get up close with some of our farm tractors. Trailer tours of our orchards will explain how our delicious apples are grown, and tours of our mill and packaging hall will reveal some of the secrets of cider making! Chat to our cider makers, and many members of our staff who’ll be happy to talk to you about life at Thatchers.

If you’re interested in apprenticeships, come along and chat to some of our apprentices and our Early Careers team.

And meet some of the community groups we’ve got close ties with.

Entry is free, the gates open at midday and no pre-booking is required.

Charity collections will be made in support of Weston Hospicecare, and The Thatchers Foundation.

Free parking will be available at Myrtle Farm, please follow the marshals on arrival.

As much as we love animals, so visitors can fully experience the Open Day we are asking that pets are left at home, with the exception of guide and support dogs.
