Thatchers Cider has created new cider and food pairing ideas for Halloween.
Featuring Green Goblin Cider, Spiced Chickpea Bhajya with Chilli and Tomato Chutney make colourful starters for a Halloween Party, while Pumpkin Curry with Pork and Flaked Almonds gives a seasonal twist to a very appetising and warming dish.
“Green Goblin is such a cheeky cider and its character lends itself perfectly to Halloween,” says managing director Martin Thatcher.
“Bold, spicy dishes work exceptionally well with the oak aged notes of Green Goblin, resulting in an explosion of flavours,” says Bini Ludlow, who has created these new dishes for Thatchers.

Somerset Redstreak and Dabinett are among the bittersweet apple varieties our cider makers have chosen to be crafted into this full-flavoured, oak-aged cider. The smooth character from the oak aged vats combines with the crispness of the fruit, to capture Green Goblin’s distinctive character. This is a beautiful medium dry cider that just oozes with character.
