We’re continuing our support of top flight sport thanks to a new partnership with Bristol Flyers.
The basketball team, part of the Bristol Sport family, secured their highest ever league finish during the 2022/23 British Basketball League and the club has also recently joined the newly-formed European North Basketball League.
Bristol Flyers were established in 2005, becoming both National Cup Champions and Division One Champions, before entering the top flight British Basketball League in 2014 with the backing of Bristol Sport.
Already part of the Bristol Sport family, we’re delighted to be extending our support of Bristol Bears Rugby and Bristol City FC teams by becoming an elite partner of Bristol Flyers.
The partnership will see our ciders being exclusively supplied during all home games at the SGS College arena. Ciders served will include Thatchers Gold, Thatchers Haze, and Thatchers Blood Orange.
Philip McTeer, Head of Marketing at Thatchers Cider, said:
“The Flyers provide such an entertaining sporting experience in Bristol and we’re delighted to be joining their exciting basketball family, becoming an Elite partner for the first time.
“The Flyers’ strive for perfection in their game, just as we do in the ciders we craft. We wish Andreas Kapoulas and his team every success this coming season as we look forward to sharing some memorable moments with them.”
Flyers Commercial Manager Steve Devereux added:
“Thatchers Cider is synonymous with Bristol and the South West region, so we’re immensely proud to have them on board as an Elite Partner.
“Their ciders will continue to be available at home games and are hugely popular with our fanbase.”
